PUNO MOCA AT FLORIDA GULF COAST UNIVERSITY

Cornejo created a site specific installation in the Florida Gulf Coast University's Main Gallery related to his efforts in Puno, Peru. The exhibition includes a large installation produced using panels, walls and other elements found at the FGCU main gallery, which have been arranged at the center of the space to form a large site specific sculpture, from which a mountain village emerges at its top. Also the exhibition includes a large "Calamina Drawing" featuring a view of Puno and a large wall drawing, that links Cornejo's Puno MoCA project with the work of the Uruguayan artist Joaquin Torres Garcia.
